Happy 30th Anniversary Durum!

2020 is the 30th Anniversary of the release of Durum Seed in Southern Australia

2020 marks the 30th year that the first durum crops were commercially grown in South Australia.  In 1990 twelve growers each multiplied two tonnes of the variety Yallaroi in order to produce 500 tonnes of seed, which in 1991 was distributed amongst another 40 growers to produce 13,700 tonnes.

SADGA provides clean pure durum seed

Are you thinking of growing Durum in 2021?

Is you current durum crop suffering contamination of bread wheat and barley?

SADGAs seed multipliers offer growers pure clean seed for your next plantings. SAGDA multipliers are agronomically checked and certified and crops are rouged to remove any contamination if present.

Seed varieties on offer are DBA Aurora, DBA Spes and DBA Artemis.

Seed is available at harvest until December 1. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that seed will be available after December 1 as we do not have the availability of storage to support grower needs in the new year.

Seed can be order in three ways:

  • 4 tonne minimum order for seed ordered in bulk off header
  • 4 tonne minimum order for seed ordered in bulk and cleaned off header
  • 1 tonne minimum order for seed ordered in bulker bags via seed cleaning facility.

All orders are subject to Terms and Conditions.

All orders received before December 1st will enjoy $100/tonne discount off the seed price.

If you are a SADGA member, in honour of your membership SADGA have applied $50/t discount.
